Jenae Dunlop, R.SLP, CCC-SLP

Registered Speech-Language Pathologist

Jenae grew up in Lethbridge, and is excited to serve this community! She received her Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from Portland State University. Over the past several years she has worked in school and private practice settings on interdisciplinary teams with occupational therapists, child psychologists, behaviour consultants, early childhood educators, and program support assistants. Her primary interests include working with young children with language delays and motor speech sound disorders (e.g., Childhood Apraxia of Speech).

As someone who struggled and overcame significant speech and language delays as a child, Jenae brings unique empathy and understanding to her clinical practice. Jenae's family and especially her mother played pivotal roles in her personal success story. She believes strongly in the power of family-centered, play-based therapy, and strives to support children so they can communicate with confidence. Jenae enjoys involving parents/caregivers in sessions so that they are empowered to help their children incorporate strategies into play and routines.

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
― Fred Rogers
