Summer Camps

During summer break, children grow, develop and change so quickly. Summer camps offer an excellent opportunity to boost speech, language, and social communication skills, in a fun, safe, play-based environment.

Children ages 3-4: 

July 20-24 2026, 9am-12pm 

​

Children ages 5-6: 

August 10-14 2026, 9am-12pm 

​

• Each camp will center around a theme (e.g., outer space; jungle animals) and use evidence-based strategies and activities to support children in working on their speech, language, and social communication goals through a play-based approach. 

• Each camp will not exceed 8 children, and will be run by 2 adults (an SLP and an educational assistant), to help ensure children have opportunities to work on their individual speech and language goals. 

• Each day will be structured as follows: circle time/book, play (sensory tables, pretend play centers), snack, gross motor activities (on outdoor playground, weather permitting, or in gym). 

• Strategies, ideas and follow-up activities will be provided to families at the end of the week. 

• Children must bring their own snack, water bottle, change of clothes, and sunscreen.

To register, children must meet the following criteria: 

• Be toilet trained. 

• Have a language and/or speech delay documented by an SLP, and use at least 50 words. *If your child has not had a speech evaluation, this can be completed prior to camp. 

• Be able to participate in a group setting and follow simple routine directions.

How to register: 

• Please email jenaedunlop@communicationstation.ca. Include: child's full name, date of birth, & which camp you're interested in. 

• Once it is determined that your child is a good fit for the camp, payment can be made via e-transfer. Once payment is received, your spot is secured.

• At the end of the camp week, an itemized receipt will be provided to you for insurance submission.

Please note: 

•  After June 29, 2026 for the July camp, and after July 20, 2026 for the August camp, payment is non-refundable. Prior to these dates, the camp fee is refundable less a $30 cancellation fee. 

• Missed days during the camp are not eligible for refunds or reduced fees. 

• If there is not sufficient enrolment, camps will be cancelled and fees will be fully refunded. 

•  Communication Station Speech Services Inc. reserves the right to refuse or revoke services after the camp has started, if it is determined that a child is not a good fit (e.g., aggressive, or developmentally too young). ​
